Which RT5 is right for you?
RT5 is available in two versions with FireWire, USB2 and eSATA connections. If interface variety is a must, RT5 has it all. If you're looking for the
largest volume size in the most portable package, RT5E has one fast eSATA connection in order to increase volume size.
RT5
Dual FireWire 800 ports (400 compatible) single eSATA port and a single USB port give full connectivity to any host computer with FireWire or
USB. It's also plug and play under Windows 2K and XP, Mac OS X and Linux distributions supporting FireWire. RT5 gives you mass storage avail-
able over FireWire or USB. These large volumes (up to 2TB per volume) are ideal for multimedia editors, server use, workstation backups and more.
And with a built-in handle, it's portable, too!
RT5e
Includes many of the same options as the RT5, but with a single eSATA connection that eliminates volume size limitations. Simply load the bays with
five IDE drives up to 750GB each for a single logical volume of up to 3.75TB.
Fast, front reloadable bays
RT5 comes with five reloadable, lockable drive trays, each holding a standard IDE drive. The latch design gives you instant access to your
drives from the front, making it easy to load, reload or replace hard disks at any time.
Grab it and go
RT5's rugged, built-in handle makes this unit truly portable, meaning multiple Terabytes can be hauled around with ease. Use RT5 to transport
backups offsite, carry extremely large projects easily or perform field backups.
RAID for when failure is not an option
The many RAID options available with RT5 give you the power to choose exactly how safe you want your data to be, and RAIDing with RT5 is
a piece of cake. The RAID options are on a scrolling menu, so it's easy to choose the RAID level you need. Configure as RAID 5, or even as a

User interface
The password-protectable, button-driven menu is available right on the front of the RT5 making RAID configuration a snap. If a drive goes bad
the RT5's built-in alarm will let you know.
Heavy duty
Made out of heavy-duty aluminum and steel construction, RT5 is designed for demanding field environments and continues WiebeTech's
tradition of offering tough, durable products.
